Covid-19 Vaccination and after effects
By now you must have read almost all available articles on Covid-19 vaccine. I am not going to repeate those things.
1) Whether I should go for it?
2) Is that actually worth to take it?
3) Will it harm in longer duration?
If you are looking to get these questions' answer then you are wasting your time by reading this. As I am just sharing my experience after taking Covid-19 Vaccine. I got "Covishield Vaccine which is made by Oxford and Serum Institute of india.
I was very much excited and determined to take my first Jab and got it in the predetermined slot too. I didn't feel anything but just a pinch and I was thinking hum "people are just making excuses that they were not well for couple of days, it pains a lot etc. I still waited for 30 min at the vaccination center, then I left for the home. I was still trying to check again and again if I started feeling anything like in movies we see; after taking such shots Hero will have a different body altogether (Fantastic 4; you know what I mean?:) .Jokes apart.. But it was opposite and didn't feel anything until 10 hours gone.
Here's the actual story begins. I had started feeling little pain in my entire body especially in my left arm on which I got the shot. Right after, I felt some chills and my temperature went up to 100.7 degree. I thought wow after 10 to 12 hours... seems my vains took too much time for the Vaccine to reach its destination. Ha ha. I started feeling fatigue and had an extreme body pain. I had my dinner in the early evening and took a tablet which was given from the vaccination center, I had to.. wasn't really wanted though.
That one medicine tablet tried everyhing to stop it but it didn't work and in the next morning ( 24 hours) my fever shoot up to 101.8 degree and I couldn't bare the pain too. At one point I thought is that a Corona injected instead of a Vaccine? And then I was just counting hours and minutes but no change. I had to get paracetamol from a local chemist to cure the pain. And finally after 48 hours fever went down and I started feeling well. It's almost 4 days now but still I have a pain in my hand. Most vaccines have side-effects and COVID vaccines are no different. The public are being reassured that if they experience a sore arm where the needle went in, or tiredness, a headache, fever or nausea, these are merely signs that the immune system is working as it should.
So, from my experience I would recommend you to take dose atleast one day before your off; If you are working person or have household chores to take care. Ask someone else to handle until you take a good rest. It's the best advice I'd give. This way it will boost the immunity.
In a nutshell, no pain no gain so please all book your slot ans get vaccinated as soon as possible. Embrace the pain as its for you, me and us. Please share your feedback or experience of vaccine in the comments.
